Put the name of your item here - example

Put a picture of your item here

 Put the name of your item here again

if you have sold it put that here!

Put the price here.

If you have not sold it than put the amount of available items here. Yes, even if it is only one.

Put a description of your item here. This is the hard part because this is were you have to describe it.

After you describe the item you can put a story about it here.

This is were you can list the items size, color and dimensions here for easy viewing. People can easily miss it in the written description.

example;

Size = S/M/L or 2/10/16/ect

Chest measurements = number here

Waist measurements = number here

Color = color

color, maim = color

color, secondary/trim/accent = color

width = number here

Height = number here

depth = number here

length = number here

A bit catch is that you will want the setup for each of your posts to have info in the same place each time. This makes it standard and easier for people to read through because they will know were to look for specific info each time.

When setting up a post for an item you want to save a blank copy so you can copy + paste as needed. This way if you have multiple styles of items with the same base stats or repeat items you will cut down your time listing them. Most of the information you can also use for other selling services.

If you want, you can also add a link to the item if you also have it listed to a site like etsy or ebay or the like. The catch is that once the item is sold you will want to remove the individual like.

You can also have just a basic link to your store. You will want to specify that it is a link to the store and not the item.

Ad's or not to Ad's

Don't have ad's on your site.

This is one this that I do have on my site that I am recommending that you probably do not do.

If you are just using the blog to sell things and not tell stories like a true blog? Then you will probably not make the requirements for being able to have ads on your site. Google makes if very hard to find any real info on what they need.

Ad providers want a certain amount of activity before they will let you have ads on your site. This can take years and a whole lot of time invested that you probably don't want to spend. I'm not joking. I have a blog that I have barely worked on that is 10 years old at the moment and it's getting about 1,000-ish views a month. which is nothing to write home about even though I have no idea what could possibly keep people going to the site.

And then there is the SEO. I have seen the SEO get twisted and turned so much that it's a game I personally don't bother with But I talk about it MORE HERE.

The hardest part for getting ads is going to be the traffic. It has to be the right traffic and if someone else is sending 'fake traffic' to you then it is on you to find and fix per the services. It's a nightmare.

So the short of it is that Ads are probably not going to be worth it for anyone in the long run.

What is SEO and is SEO worth it

 What is SEO and is SEO worth it

Shortest answer, no.

SEO is Search Engine Optimization which is a fancy way to say it's a whole ton of work to get your site to the top of the search engines results page. Which most large companies do by spending a whole lot of money because the best SEO is always changing because the rule that the search engines use are also changing "so that scammers can't take advantage of the algorithm" but it also hurt everyone that isn't a scammer.

Have you seen the complaints about Pay To Be Seen because this is a part of that in a way.

SEO requires all the information you could possible have about everything attached to everything that you post online. To catch it's attention you would need to...

-Have the name of your image have all of your item & your sites info.

-Have a description of your image with all of your item & your sites info, but not quite the exact same as how it is for the photos file name.

-Have all of your item & your sites info as the description for the body of the post/initial listing for your item, but not quite the exact same as how it is for the photos file name or as the caption for the photo.

-relevant labels & search Descriptions for your posts.

-Talk about your item in a post, but not quite the exact same as how it is for the photos file name or as the caption for the photo or the initial post/listing of your item.

-???

-Profit

Or something to that effect. The list of things you will need to keep in mind if you do decide to play with the SEO are...

-Items Photo

-Caption for Items Photo

-Initial post/listing of your item

-labels & search Descriptions for your posts

-Any additional posts about what you do or post or list.

If things are still as crazy as they sound then going back and re-working the SEO on established pages is NOT what you want to do.

However if you do want to play with the current SEO then you would want to read up on it and then use that for a few posts that you will be making in a short time frame. Like for posts about items that are coming soon. This would give some fresh meat to the grinder data to the search engines.

Again, because of how fast and how much the SEO changes I will not be talking about the details here. The rare exception with be if something stands out or if there is something relevant to another area like labels ext.

But everything will change, probably not as fast as it did around 2008-ish but it is ever changing because companies want to pay as little as possible for people who understand the system. Also 'scammers' but that is... really not as good as an excuse these days.

Good luck.

This is a how to site for How to Sell Things Online

This is a how to site for  How to Sell Things Online.

There is no garontee if is this will work for you or not. This is just the free-est way to get started.

To start some if not all of the images will not be of things but of the word "photo of your item here" or some such nonsense.

Likewise the links will say LINK WHATEVER PAGE HERE  for what I am advising for you to link to that section. I will have the links to the example pages/posts.

Not everything will be in CAPSLOCK but I will try to have everything that you would put custom text for in bold.

There will be a lot of YOUR IMAGE HERE and LINK HERE and such.

Again, this it a visual way to show how to do things with out having to make a fancy info-graphic thing.

For the most part posts, pages and labels will either be listed as EXAMPLES or EXPLANATIONS or start with YOUR and then the name of the page or topic being talked about that will also have examples mixed into it.

There will be so many links and probably very weird labels. Actually labels are going to be a nightmare and will vary depending if they are in CAPSLOCK or not. Expect several evolving posts about labeling things.

 At some point I will have a master post/page with all the EXAMPLES and EXPLANATIONS listed in one go. This is so far down the line it left the event horizon in the dust.

As of 2-2-2021 The full site is currently a work in progress. I will update this first post once it is complete to the point that all relevant info is here. With additional posts happening as I see things I want to change or add to. These changes will be marked or noted with *UPDATE DATE HERE* for each time that part is updated.

Yes I have ad's on the site and no I do not recommend that you do the same until you have a solid following.
