Don't have ad's on your site.
This is one this that I do have on my site that I am recommending that you probably do not do.
If you are just using the blog to sell things and not tell stories like a true blog? Then you will probably not make the requirements for being able to have ads on your site. Google makes if very hard to find any real info on what they need.
Ad providers want a certain amount of activity before they will let you have ads on your site. This can take years and a whole lot of time invested that you probably don't want to spend. I'm not joking. I have a blog that I have barely worked on that is 10 years old at the moment and it's getting about 1,000-ish views a month. which is nothing to write home about even though I have no idea what could possibly keep people going to the site.
And then there is the SEO. I have seen the SEO get twisted and turned so much that it's a game I personally don't bother with But I talk about it MORE HERE.
The hardest part for getting ads is going to be the traffic. It has to be the right traffic and if someone else is sending 'fake traffic' to you then it is on you to find and fix per the services. It's a nightmare.
So the short of it is that Ads are probably not going to be worth it for anyone in the long run.
