I made this site as a visual reference on how to make a store styled site for use with PayPal invoices.
This is not sponsored in any way by PayPal because if it was it wouldn't have taken my 5+ years to make.
This style of website for selling things is similar to how sites used to be made back before dedicated store sites was really a thing. Back around in the 1990's you had to build and code the site yourself if you couldn't afford to pay someone.
It was less then pleasant if you were new to it. It still can be even now.
Currently there are sites that you can use that do all the coding for you and will charge you fees to list items and fees to sell items when someone buys them and fees that you are not allowed to say no to because they are doing a money grab. One particular site has really started pushing the no opting out of them charging you for ads for your items. This same site is also doing preferred service for people that offer free shipping and put the shipping price into their items.No I won't Ever be naming it.
So! Some older site just used to be a list of links with images and prices. That is essentially what I am going to use this site to show you how to make.
The idea is to make it while spending as little money to setup as possible. I am not going to suggest anything other then free things to get started. If you don't want to do that then you can always pay services but for that you will have to search else were. They were more like inventory sites then having an automatic shopping cart built into the site.
This method will not be using a shopping cart.
I am going to make everything as spelled out as possible. That takes time and any site that you make or use is going to be a serious investment in time.
Some if not all of the images will not be of things but of the word "photo of your item here" or some such nonsense.
Likewise the links will say LINK WHATEVER PAGE HERE for what I am advising for you to link to that section. I will have the links to the example pages/posts.
Not everything will be in CAPSLOCK but I will try to have everything that you would put custom text for in bold.
There will be a lot of YOUR IMAGE HERE and LINK HERE and such.
There will be no financial advice other then I am not recommending that you spend anything other then time on your first site. If I spent money on every blog I ever tried to start I would have no money. I am already paying a fortune in web addresses that I don't have time to use.
I do/will have ad's on this site because yes I would like some passive income from it but I am not going to bet my mortgage on it. Thank you if you do view them because it's incentive for me to keep doing things like this.
